Diana Bunici finally wants to break out of children's TV as she gets older

Diana Bunici has told how she wants to make the move away from kids TV.

The Elev8 presenter, 26, admitted she is starting to realise she is getting too old to stay on children’s programmes.

And Diana revealed she would like to move towards the time where she bags her own entertainment show or produces more documentaries.

“The time is definitely approaching now for me to make that move [away from kids TV]. I’m 26-years-old,” she said.

“I’ve been doing kids TV for about four years, and it’s incredible. It’s the best learning school.

“I’ve had the time of my life and I still love it to this day. But I realised I’m getting older and mentally I’m ready.

“I will be exploring opportunities – and I have already – so it’s just about the right time and the right thing to come along. I am always pitching ideas.

But Diana – who is “so keen to do a Reality Bites” – said at the launch of the IFI’s children’s movie festival that she does still love working with young ones.

“It’s absolutely amazing working with children, you never know what to expect with them especially in the environment I work in,” she said.

“When it’s live TV, anything can happen. They can say something that absolutely catches off you off guard, or put you in a position where you have to say, ‘Hang on, I’m the presenter here!’

“Or sometimes they say something smart you’ve never thought of yourself. They always stretch your mind and make you think on your feet. And think about things you wouldn’t think about usually.”
