Rosie Connolly and husband Paul Quinn raise HUGE sum of money for charity

Rosie Connolly and her husband Paul Quinn have raised over €100,000 for Breast Cancer Ireland.

The popular influencer founded her premium lifestyle brand 4TH ARQ in 2020 with her partner, and they have been long term supporters of the breast cancer charity.

This week, the couple were pictured with Prof Arnie Hill, Chairman of Breast Cancer Ireland, at the unveiling of a special commemorative plaque in Beaumont Breast Centre.

Funds raised through a recent 4TH ARQ fundraising initiative have been used to fund the purchase of a brand new state of the art Faxitron breast imaging machine for use in the multi-million euro Breast Centre, which sees approximately 10,000 patients per year.

Their incredibly generous donation of over €100,000 to Ireland’s leading breast cancer charity was raised through the design and sale of a bespoke and limited edition range of pink half zip fleeces sold under the 4TH ARQ brand.

The high definition imaging machine allows surgeons to check (in real time, whilst still in the operating theatre) that they have successfully removed all cancerous cells.

The machine also guides surgeons to remove only the required amount of tissue with a safe zone, thereby conserving natural breast tissue.

The initiative marks the brand’s second successful collaboration with Breast Cancer Ireland, having previously launched a limited-edition pink tracksuit in October 2021 raising a further €73,000 for the charity.

Rosie commented: “We’re absolutely blown away by the sheer generosity of the many people who donated and purchased our limited-edition Breast Cancer Ireland half-zip.

“It’s because of their generosity that we were able to raise such a significant amount for such a meaningful cause. I’ll never be able to express my unwavering gratitude and it really means more to me than I can ever express.”

“It’s incredible to know that the amount raised will contribute to the purchase of a new state of the art Faxitron Breast Imagine machine for the Beaumont Breast Centre, ultimately helping thousands of patients in their fight against breast cancer.”

“I truly believe in the power of collaboration so we were honoured to partner with BCI to raise funds for such a vital cause. This collaboration was a true testament to our belief here at 4TH ARQ in using our platform for good and being able to make a tangible difference in the lives of so many.”

In October 2020, Rosie stressed the importance of checking your breasts after finding a lump on her own.

Thankfully, the mother-of-two’s test results came back “benign”, but the experience taught her a lot as she immediately feared the “worst case scenario”.
