Katie Taylor Madison Square Garden fight CANCELLED

The boxer was meant to fight in March

Katie Taylor’s Madison Square Garden fight has reportedly been cancelled.

The boxer was meant to fight at the iconic arena on March 18th – the same venue that MMA star Conor McGregor made history in at UFC 205.

However, promotor Eddie Hearn has said that the fight has been called off due to a disagreement with Top Rank president Todd duBoef.

Cancelled: Katie’s fight on March 18th is reportedly not going ahead | VIPIRELAND.COM

Katie was meant to be on the undercard of Gennady Golovkin’s fight against Daniel Jacobs, which apparently “everyone wanted to do.”

“And then Top Rank, Todd duBoef mainly, threw his absolute toys out of the pram because they’ve got [Michael] Conlan show the night before,” he said on IFL TV.

“So Golovkin went on March 18th, which they weren’t very happy about but let it go.

“Then they heard Katie Taylor was on and they threw their toys out of the pram and said ‘we’ve got an Irish show.

“Katie Taylor’s massive and she’s going on the night before?’ So then it was big drama.”
