Prince Harry has been left devastated by the unexpected death of one of his close friends.
Endurance expert Jules Roberts and the Duke of Sussex became close in 2013, when Jules helped the royal prepare for a South Pole charity trek.
Jules died unexpectedly on August 5th of this year, aged just 37.
“This has come as a real shock,” a royal source told The Mirror.
“Harry and Jules hit it off from the moment they met. Jules helped to train Harry for the polar world.”
“Harry even spent 24 hours in an industrial freezer to prepare.”
The source added that the royal was “very upset” by the news of his passing.
Harry reportedly sent a note and flowers to Jules’ wife Francesca as a token of his condolences.
