Hometown: 'We're worried about becoming one-hit wonders'

Hometown have admitted they are afraid of becoming one-hit wonders.

The Irish boy band shot straight to the top of the charts with their debut single Where I Belong – and the pressure is now on for their next offering Cry For Help to do the same.

The teen singers are begging fans to get behind the latest single when it’s released on March 27.

“It was the most incredible feeling being number one with Where I Belong but yes there’s kind of pressure to prove that we can do it again,” bandmate Josh said.

“We’re working hard to do that and we have a bigger fan base this time – it’s growing all the time so we’re hoping it will do well in the charts.”

Meanwhile, Josh also revealed the lads have been getting increasing attention from adoring fans who call themselves Homies.

“We used to get attention when we went out as a band but now even when we go out on our own, we get followed or asked for photos,” he said.

“My dad and I were in Liffey Valley and he noticed these two girls following us,” he told the Star.

“They told us they were following us for an hour before he even noticed, which is a bit surreal!”

The lads have been working non-stop to promote their new single and will appear on The Late Late Show next weekend to perform the track.

Hometown recently took a trip to South Africa to film their latest music video.
