EXCLUSIVE: Ronan Keating planning new Life Is A Rollercoaster in bid to be current again

Ronan Keating has revealed he’s planning on producing a new version of Life Is A Rollercoaster – after signing a new solo deal.

The Boyzone singer plans to release a new album next year, with help from Gregg Alexander.

And Ronan told Goss.ie he doesn’t care what people think of him at this stage insisting: “You’re one song away from being back current again”.

“I’ve just signed a new three album deal with Decca. So I’m making that to probably bring out next year,” he said.

“Maybe I’m not valid but that’s fine, I’m valid to myself, my family and the people who like my music.

“I’m not Bruno Mars or One Direction, I’m 37 years old and I’ve had 20 great years already – ten of those as a pop kid that did really well and had number ones.

“Gregg Alexander sent me a song yesterday, a brand new song, saying for my ears only and it’s unbelievable. He wrote Life is a Rollercoaster and all the songs for Begin Again.

“So who knows? You’re one song away from being back current again. It doesn’t bother me what people say at this stage.”

And Ronan also opened up on Boyzone’s plans for a new Motown album – insisting he’s going to the experts for help.

“It’s exciting actually, I’ve been speaking with Berry Gordy – who is Redfoo’s dad – who started Motown records and signed them all,” he said.

“So it’s been great speaking to him and getting some ideas off him on the project.”
