6 Things Irish Girls Will Do When Victoria's Secret Comes To Dublin

How long have Irish women been waiting for a Victoria’s Secret to open in Dublin?

Well, the answer is FOREVER – and naturally we are so over the top excited that we’re already putting aside a special VS fund for when the big day comes.

It was reported today that the Victoria’s Secret flagship store will replace BT2 on Grafton Street, and in honour of this we’ve compiled a list of things Irish girls will do when the much-anticipated store opens.

Knicker Wars

Now, obviously when the store opens there may be a slight bit of panic.

Imagine feisty Loreto girls fighting over the pink leopard print thongs.

We can already predict that there’s going to be a mad dash for the highly sought after knickers and bras Victoria’s Secret have to offer – so in other words… be prepared to get those elbows out!

Live In A Cloud Of Body Mist

Who doesn’t or hasn’t had a mild obsession with the Victoria’s Secret body mists?

Potentially because they are one of the only VS products accessible to us as they’re available in Dublin Airport Terminal 2 (and they were the cheapest…) – we have a feeling this obsession can only get worse.

All we’re saying is get ready for that permanent smell of Bombshell and Tease on the streets of Dublin.

Spend Far Too Much Money

If it’s very easy to lose the run of yourself in Penneys – then think what its going to be like in Victoria’s Secret?!

The good thing about splashing the cash in Penneys is that the clothes are relatively cheap but unfortunately you’ll have to pay a pretty penny to get your hands on some VS luxuries.

Either way, we know we won’t be able to help ourselves so start saving now!

Tracksuits, Tracksuits Everywhere

Apart from bras and knickers, Victoria’s Secret is well known for their tracksuits – and Irish girls seriously love them.

To see an Irish girl come home from her J1 without a tracksuit from the VS PINK range is a VERY rare sight, so we can only imagine that the invasion of brightly coloured trackies is going to get worse.

We’re not gonna lie, the tracksuits are incredibly comfortable and look great – but we wouldn’t like to see them become a fashion staple.

The Déjà Vu Effect

What happens when a new store comes to our shores? Everyone goes there – thus resulting in the déjà vu effect.

Picture several girls partying the day away at Ocean Club in Marbella, but wearing the exact same bikini – scarlet!

Basically, be prepared to be sporting the same bikini as some of your mates – it’s inevitable really.

Think We’re VS Angels

If purchasing half the Victoria’s Secret shop doesn’t make you feel like a VS Angel, then we don’t know what will.

We can see ourselves now, strutting down Grafton Street channelling our inner Adriana Lima –  only in reality we’ll be dodging buskers and clutching our umbrellas.

But either way, at least we’ll have fancy underwear on!
