Dublin Wives star Virginia Macari snubbed role in TOWIE spin-off

Virginia Macari has revealed that she turned down a chance to appear on TOWIE spin-off show Life on Marbs.

The 40-year-old, who is currently based in Marbella, starred in Irish reality show Dublin Wives before it ended in 2013.

Although having a reality show past, Virginia admitted she has no interest in appearing on the small screen.

“I was asked to do Life on Marbs, but I’m not doing TV – I’m not really interested,” she said.

Aired on ITVBe, Life on Marbs follows the lives of the elite who call decadent Marbella their home.

“All of the cast are my friends, but I just don’t know if I would go down that road again,” she told the Herald.

“I would do it if it was good for my business, but other than that I don’t really see the point.”

Although the swimwear designer is now permanently living in the Spanish town with her fiancé Kaste Dahl and their 4-year-old son Thor, she insisted she misses the Dublin social scene.

“I miss my friends, I miss the banter – going shopping and meeting someone for a drink in Kehoe’s – that doesn’t exist here,” she explained.

“Nobody here drinks and everyone is super fit – the conversation is all about the gym.”

Virginia and her partner Kaste, who was reportedly arrested in Marbella in December for fraud, have been engaged since 2012 but already see themselves as a married couple.

“Over here, people don’t really say ‘that’s my boyfriend or my partner,” she said.

“They say ‘that’s my wife or husband’ so the way I see it is that we are married already.”
