Maura Higgins has opened up about her current living situation, following her split from Bobby Holland Hanton.
The Irish reality star became a household name after appearing on Love Island in 2019, and now spends her time travelling around the world for work.
During a Q&A on Instagram, the Longford native confirmed where she currently lives, telling her fans “I thought it was obvious”.
The 33-year-old said: “Its so crazy cause I just assume everyone knows where I live.”
“A lot of people think I live in Ireland still. But I actually moved to the UK straight after the show [Love Island] so I’ve been living there nearly five years now.
“I can’t believe it’s been that long since I did the show,” she continued.
“I live in Essex and the reason I moved to Essex was because I was training for Dancing on Ice and it was close to Essex. I just never moved out.”
“And I’m not really a city girl,” she added sharing that she prefers living in the countryside.
The Irish model then recalled having to live in a hotel for a period of time after leaving the hit reality show.
“I came off the show and all I had was a suitcase with crusty bikinis,” she joked.
Last month, it was reported that Maura had split from her beau Bobby Holland Hanton, after 10 months together.
The stuntman has worked as a stand-in for major stars, including Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Craig, throughout his career.
The Irish star confirmed their relationship on The Late Late Show in December and told host Patrick Kielty that she was “no more single”.
The couple hid their relationship from the public eye, with Maura only teasing her man in a post celebrating the New Year on the beach in the Maldives.
However, the pair have since unfollowed each other on Instagram, leading fans to believe that they have split.
Meanwhile, an insider told The Sun they were “too different” to make the relationship work.
The source said about the relationship: “It was really fun for a while. But they’re different people. It’s over between them.”
