After the announcement that Ray D’Arcy is replacing Brendan O’Connor with his own Saturday Night Show, the presenter has insisted it wasn’t his “decision”.
The former Today FM host moved to RTE Radio 1 in February, with rumours from the beginning that he would be making his return to TV.
Last weekend Brendan confirmed this will be the last season of The Saturday Night Show.
But speaking on his radio show Ray said he is a fan of Brendan’s.

“I’ll miss him as well. I’ve only come off the phone to my mother – both of us said we like him.
“Anyway, it wasn’t my decision,” he said.
