WATCH: Irish duo who sang with Adele appear on The Ellen Show

Adele’s Irish lads Ronan Scolard and Glenn Murphy appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show after a whirlwind week.

The Irish duo captured the attention of British singer Adele after she watched their video performing an incredible medley of her hit songs, so she invited them on stage to sing at her 3Arena gig – and now they’ve made it stateside.

The lads were invited to make an appearance and perform on the Ellen show for a St. Patrick’s Day special, and they revealed all about the shocking moment they were called on stage by the Hello singer.

Speaking to Ellen about the heart stopping moment, Glenn said, “We both were like ‘What!?’ and the next thing we knew we were running down these stairs, like five flights of stairs, I have never cursed as much in my entire life.

“Ronan was so cool and I was like ‘Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God.”

“I was trying to be calm for the both of us, being like ‘right, there’s no time for nerves here’,” said Ronan.

Just in case anyone thought @glennjmurphy and I were joking…

“But then, prior to that we had seen the likes of Bono, The Edge, Colin Farrell, Hozier, sitting in the rows just literally in front of us, and that started to sink in and I was like ‘oh no, there’s a need to be nervous here, this is scary’,” he added.

The singers also took to the stage to perform their stunning medley, but not before Ellen surprised them with their very own Irish flag underpants, with the words ‘Ellen loves Ireland’ printed on the back.
