Wes Nelson has revealed his feelings before facing his ex-girlfriend Arabella Chi in the Love Island villa.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, the singer revealed he was not “bothered” on seeing his former flame and was simply “focused on sounding great.”

Discussing their interaction, he said: “I felt good before. It was not at all [awkward]. I was more focused on the performance and getting that right.”

“We’re performing in front of millions of viewers, people that might not have necessarily seen me since Love Island and some people who may have not seen me performing live. So I wanted to make sure that it was bang on.”

“I was not thinking about an ex for one minute,” he explained.

“We just got in there and got the job done. I mean, I’m walking on with Craig David, like, it’s probably the biggest confidence booster you can think of.”

“I was more bothered about making sure I sounded great next to Craig than I was about the islanders, if that makes sense.”

Wes who now chooses to keep his romantic life out of the public eye did tease that his “current love life is going swimmingly.”

On the other hand, Wes’ ex-girlfriend Arabella has split from her Love Island partner Adam Maxted.

The former couple announced they split up just five weeks after leaving the All-Stars villa.

The pair were previously accused of faking their relationship after not being seen together since leaving South Africa.

Initially, the couple slammed the rumours by continuing to like and comment on each other’s posts.

However, a source close to the couple revealed how the pair tried to make it work but “work got in the way.”
