Toby Aromolaran finally breaks his silence on Chloe Burrows split

Toby Aromolaran has finally broken his silence on his split from Chloe Burrows.

The couple came in second place on Love Island 2021, and moved in together shortly afterwards.

News of Chloe and Toby’s split broke last October, with a source telling MailOnline at the time: “Chloe and Toby put everything into their relationship – but it just hasn’t worked out between them.”

In a new interview with The UK Sun, Toby broke his silence on their split.

The 24-year-old told the publication: “At the end of the day it wasn’t a hard decision – once you’re having serious core problems, really and truly it’s done, isn’t it.”

“It’s one of those ones, because it’s my relationship I don’t want to say what those issues were.”

“I haven’t really said it out loud to anyone really and truly, it’s almost like I’m running from it. I run from it.”

Speaking about whether he and Chloe will ever rekindle their romance, Toby admitted: “I think that books firmly closed.”

“I don’t think I could let myself.”

“I always say to people ‘why do you get back with your exes?’ and it always pulls you back.”

“I’ve thought many times, ‘shall I get back with her?’ But I just couldn’t. I can’t, I can’t, I just can’t do it.”

“It was me who broke up with her,” Toby admitted. “I miss being in a relationship. I miss us privately away from everything.”

When asked if they’re still in contact, the Love Island said: “We were talking and then now we’re not talking.”

“We’ve gone back to silence. I feel once you’ve lived with someone like that and got so deep in.”

“It’s on her side that we’re not talking.”

“I’m not enjoying single life,” Toby continued. “I need a girlfriend really and truly. I’m not enjoying single life.”

“I don’t know where to find them, that’s the problem. One thing I’ve always said is that I can’t go onto the dating apps – I’m not going onto the dating apps.”

“I can’t meet my dream woman on a dating app – I can’t tell people that I met someone on a dating app – that’s not my plans.”

The 24-year-old then addressed romance rumours with his Love Island co-star Faye Winter.

Toby told the publication: ” I can’t get with Faye – it just wouldn’t make sense.”

“She’s like a sister and we’ve both been so into each other’s past relationship, it can’t ever be like that.”

“There is no chemistry but we have friend chemistry.”

Faye and Toby on Love Island: Aftersun

In April, Chloe shocked fans as she shared details of her split from Toby.

Speaking to her close friend and housemate Millie Court for the launch of Chloe vs The World, the Love Island star said: “Remember when I called you crying? And I was like ‘I don’t know what’s gonna happen, I’ve been dumped’ and you were like ‘just live with me’, and then I called you crying a few days later and you were like ‘I’ve booked Morocco. I was like ‘wow, I love this girl’.”

Millie replied: “You were in a sad place and the only resolution I could think of was go on holiday. We had a lot of fun there.”

Later, Chloe said that on the trip she had “no serotonin in my body. I was depressed,” before recalling listening to a song about heartbreak and thinking it was the “saddest moment in her life”.
