Prince William and Kate Middleton enjoy staycation in one of Princess Diana’s favourite spots

The couple brought their children on holiday before they return to school

Prince William and Kate Middleton enjoyed a staycation in one of Princess Diana’s favourite spots this week.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took their three children – George, 7, Charlotte, 5, and Louis, 2 – to the Isles of Scilly, where William used to holiday as a child.

According to the Mirror, the couple said hello to locals as they cycled across the island of Tresco on Thursday.

An onlooker said: “William and Kate were riding their bicycles, having a laugh. They looked so happy enjoying the weather.”

“I did do a double take. They were really friendly and said hello.”

A source added: “They decided on a quick getaway before the children return to school. They were keen to support our travel industry.”

The Cambridges opted against holidaying overseas, as any potential need to quarantine could impact their ability to work.
