He captioned the post: “My favourite photo of us. The hug the smile the laughs I miss it all caz! 2 years ago we lost ya and it hurts everyday 😢💔”

In Channel 4’s documentary ‘Caroline Flack: Her Life and Death’, which aired last year, Olly broke down in tears over Caroline’s tragic death.

He said: “I just know that my heart breaks every time I think of Caz, and think of what she would’ve had to have gone through to take her own life, and you know, that’s going to hurt for a long time. We got on so well – we were great together.”

The singer also spoke about the negative reaction to him and Caroline presenting The X Factor back in 2015, and revealed how it affected them both.

“It was an awful experience knowing that everyone hated us on the show,” he said.

“That X Factor experience for both of us was hard. But again Caroline, God, she got it so much more than me. I don’t know what it was.”

Caroline took her own life just hours after she was told she would face trial for the alleged assault of her then-boyfriend Lewis Burton – despite the fact that he didn’t want to press charges.

Following her death, the presenter’s management slammed the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) for pursuing the “show trial”, knowing how vulnerable she was.

After Caroline’s death, her family released an unpublished Instagram post the presenter wanted to share before the died.

In the heartfelt statement, the TV star denied being a “domestic abuser”, and said the incident between her and Lewis was simply an “accident”.
