Meghan Markle’s dad will attend her royal wedding despite scathing comments to the contrary from her half-brother earlier this week.
Speculation as to which members of her family would be in attendance to see her up the aisle on May 19th have been put to rest as it has been confirmed that Thomas Markle has been invited and will join her on the big day.
The 73-year-old was spotted by The Sun getting fitted for a suit on a street in Rosarito where he lives. Her dad will fly from Mexico to London for the ceremony and undertake the important role of walking his daughter up the aisle.
The bride-to-be will also be joined by her mother, 61-year-old Doria Ragland who will accompany her daughter to the church, travelling by car which breaks royal tradition.
Prince Harry’s press secretary Jason Knauf said, “Ms Markle is delighted to have her parents by her side on this important and happy occasion. It’s very important to her that both her parents have roles in her wedding.”
Her parents, who divorced when Meghan was 6-years-old, will fly into the UK the week of the wedding, giving them time to meet the royal family their daughter is marrying into.
It has been announced that the former Suits actress won’t have a maid of honour and the designer of her wedding dress, which is set to cost over €100,000, has also finally been revealed!
