Meghan Markle is reportedly set to visit Princess Diana’s grave with Prince Harry and their son Archie very soon.
According to the Daily Mail, the Sussexes will visit Harry’s mother’s final resting place around the 22nd anniversary of her death on August 31.
Diana, who was tragically killed in a car accident back in 1997, was laid to rest in the middle of a tranquil island on a lake at her family’s estate .
A source told the newspaper: “Harry wants Meghan to see his mother’s resting place.”
Harry and his older brother Prince William used to visit Althorp Estate, which is the home of their uncle and aunt, twice a year – on Diana’s birthday (July 1), and on the anniversary of her death (August 31).
However, it’s believed the brothers haven’t visited her grave since what would have been Diana’s 56th birthday in 2017.
Meghan’s first visit to Diana’s grave is bound to mean a lot to Prince Harry, as he previously said that he they would have been “best friends”.
The Duke of Sussex also proposed to Meghan with a custom-made engagement ring, which features two diamonds from Diana’s personal jewellery collection.
The news comes after Harry and Meghan posted a touching tribute to Princess Diana on Instagram recently.
