Marnie Simpson to discuss alcoholism in honest podcast series

Marnie Simpson has revealed that she will open up about alcoholism in an honest new podcast series.

The reality star rose to fame following her stint on Geordie Shore, and announced today that she would be launching a podcast with MTV, discussing a range of “touchy subjects”.

‘Marnie’s Home Truths’ will see Marnie get candid with a host of celeb friends, including Lauren Goodger and Nicola McLean.

Sharing the news on Instagram, Marnie wrote: “IM SOOOO EXCITED GUYS BECAUSE MY BRAND NEW PODCAST “MARNIES HOME TRUTHS” HAS LAUNCHED!”

“This podcast has been really fun to record and it’s basically me taking to all of my closest friends and family about really touchy subjects, we all are so open and honest and that’s why this podcast is so real and raw,” she explained.

“I’ll be giving you a look into my life, by getting to know those who closest to me. I’ll be talking to my nearest and dearest about topics that are close to my heart, revealing who and what has shaped me into the person I am today.

“We’ll cover everything from parenting and fame, to grief and alcoholism, and the general pressures and drama that life can bring.”

Marnie has previously opened up about abusing alcohol during her time on Geordie Shore, admitting she was fearful that she would be unable to have children.

“Because I’d done Geordie Shore I’d convinced myself that I couldn’t have kids because of all the alcohol abuse,” she told OK! Magazine.

Marnie welcomed her first child with fiancé Casey Johnson last year, a baby boy named Rex.

The 28-year-old will also open up about her experience with chronic pain, after being diagnosed with a chronic bladder condition.

In the first episode of her podcast, Marnie chatted with her mother Sharra about growing up.
