Marnie Simpson reveals she’s ‘still struggling to walk’ as she details her ‘traumatic labour’

The reality star gave birth to her first child last week

Marnie Simpson has revealed she’s “still struggling to walk”, as she opened up about her “traumatic labour”.

The former Geordie Shore star and her boyfriend Casey Johnson welcomed a baby boy last week – but the birth didn’t exactly go to plan.

Speaking on her Instagram Story today, exactly one week after giving birth, Marnie said: “I can’t even explain what it’s like to have a baby.”

“It’s so overwhelming, your emotions, your hormones are all over the place. It’s a lot to adjust to. I feel like I just needed to take a little bit of time to come down from the birth and the labour.”

“Obviously, I had a very bad birth experience, and a very traumatic labour which didn’t go to plan,” Marnie admitted.

“Which was really upsetting because I had it all planned out in my head of how I wanted it to be, and it wasn’t like that, which is really sad but as long as baby’s healthy that’s all that matters.”

Marnie was sitting in the car with Casey, and revealed it was her first time out of the house since they brought their baby boy home.

“I still can’t believe I’m a mam. I can’t wait to show you guys the baby I can’t wait to show you all him. I’ll be releasing some special pictures soon, you’s are all going to love him,” she said.

“He’s so perfect. Worth every bit of pain that I went through. I can’t believe it’s not just me and Casey now. We’re a family. A mam and dad.”

“I’m still struggling to walk but I’m on the mend. It’s definitely taking its time,” she added.

The reality star had to be induced last week, as she went 12 days over her due date.
