Katie Price raised a lot of eyebrows over the weekend, when she publicly asked Coleen Rooney to check her DMs on Instagram.
Under a post wishing her son Kai a happy 10th birthday, the former glamour model commented: “Read your dm’s coleen ????.”
Fans were left puzzled by Katie’s mysterious comment, but now we finally know why she reached out to Coleen.
According to The Sun Online, Katie was trying to arrange a meet up with Coleen, after noticing they were going to Alton Towers on the same day.
A source said: “Katie was just messaging Coleen as she thought they were going to the theme park on the same day and wondered if she wanted to meet up with the kids.”
“They’ve got a lot in common and they’ve met in the past so she thought she’d be friendly.”
The news comes after Katie recently defended Coleen, amid her public row with Rebekah Vardy.
Last month, Coleen famously accused Rebekah of selling fake stories about her in an explosive statement on social media.
Katie said: “I’ve met Coleen at an event, she seems really nice. And I’ve met Rebekah Vardy a few times.”
“I’m just saying – not that I’m taking sides on anything – Coleen seems a bit like me. You don’t say stuff unless you have evidence.”
“Anyone I’ve outed… if they’ve really tried to damage me, of course I’m going to out them. Name and shame them. Put their name out there, pictures the whole lot. Absolutely.”
