Love Island’s Scott takes swipe at co-stars as he breaks his social media silence

Scott van-der-Sluis took a swipe at his Love Island co-stars as he broke his social media silence for the first time since being dumped from the villa.

The former Shelbourne F.C. goalkeeper had been coupled up with Catherine Agbaje prior to Casa Amor; however, the his feelings towards her were questioned by their fellow Islanders.

During Casa Amor, Catherine struck up a romance with bombshell Elom Ahlijah-Wilson, and brought him back to the main villa – ending things between her and Scott.

Scott then pursued a romance with Abi Moores; however, their fellow Islanders questioned his connection with her once again, as they thought it was convenient for him and that she still wanted a romance Mitchel Taylor.

The pair were voted the least compatible earlier this week, and were subsequently dumped from the villa.

Upon his return to social media, Scott took a swipe at his Love Island co-stars for continuously questioning his genuineness.

Taking to Twitter, Scott penned: “What a ride, what a journey. It’s been a summer I’ll never forget.”

“Thank you for all your support❤️.”

“Ooof how nice is it to have your phone back, also really nice to not be called a game player 74 times a day.”

It comes after Catherine expressed her wish to have a “catch up” with Scott, now that he’s been dumped from the villa.

During an Instagram Q&A, the Dubliner was asked: “Can we get a Cat and Scott reunion?”

The Love Island star responded: “Obviously I am getting a lot of these questions, but yes of course there will be a reunion”.

“A catch up is needed!”

During his exit interview with ITV, Scott revealed where he stands with Catherine.

The former Shelbourne F.C. goalkeeper admitted: “I didn’t think I told Catherine enough before Casa Amor about how I was feeling.”

“At the same time I stayed loyal when I had the opportunity to go elsewhere. It wasn’t as if I went into Casa Amor and no-one liked me – I spoke to Gabby a bit but chose to stay loyal to Catherine.”

“She didn’t do the same thing but hopefully it works out for her,” Scott continued. “Once the situation is put to bed for me, it’s done and there is no going back.”

“So many thoughts were going through my mind at the time, I didn’t know what I’d be surprised at and what I wouldn’t. In the back of my mind, I wanted to try and prepare for it and then it obviously happened. I got over the situation pretty quickly so I wasn’t down about it.”
