Love Island’s Faye Winter reveals cancer scare after fans spot scar on her stomach

Faye Winter has revealed she recently had a potentially cancerous mole removed, after fans spotted a scar on her stomach.

Last week, the Love Island star sparked concern when fans noticed a surgery scar on her tummy in an ad campaign for Ann Summers.

In her latest YouTube video, the 26-year-old said she decided to get the mole checked earlier this month, after noticing it had changed since she left the villa.

Faye said: “I am quite a moley person, I always have freckles and moles but one mole in particular has grown quite a bit since I went into the villa and it was in the sun for the whole summer.”

“So I am just going to have it looked at because it’s a little bit abnormal. In fact a few of you guys have noticed it, which is another reason why I am going to go and get it checked.”

Later in the video, the former letting agent revealed doctors “didn’t like the look” of her mole.

“They have decided they are going to remove the mole, which is fine,” she explained.

“The first doctor said they didn’t know and then another doctor came in and she didn’t like the look of it so she said to be on the safe side lets get it taken out.”

Filming herself after the surgery, Faye admitted she was in a lot of pain, and had been “crying a lot”.

“I didn’t think it was going to the painful,” she said, as she showed off her scar.

The reality star also said she’s still waiting for the biopsy results, but said: “I’m 99% sure it’s going to be absolutely fine.”

Faye said she wanted to share her mole removal with fans, as she wanted to encourage others to get their moles checked.

The 26-year-old isn’t the first Love Island star to share her cancer scare with fans, as Molly-Mae Hague previously documented her mole removal online.
