Love Island stars Zachariah Noble and Mitchel Taylor reportedly threatened to call Kady McDermott out for having “secret boyfriend” during the live reunion.
Zach got into a heated exchange with Kady during Sunday night’s show, after he called her out for spilling the tea from the show in a series of podcasts.
He said: “Our names are in your mouth, your name isn’t our mouths. I feel I speak for the both of us when I say we wish you nothing but happiness and good health.”
Kady later hit back, saying: “Zach, enjoy your 15 minutes.”
Zach then reiterated he didn’t “talk behind people’s backs”, to which Kady replied: “I don’t talk behind people’s backs, I say it on podcasts.”
Mitch also slammed Kady’s podcast comments in a new interview with On Demand Entertainment.
He said: “You’re calling me and Ella B fake – you came in with a boyfriend. You have a boyfriend to this day. I’ve been told by the other girls, I’m not going to name names cause I’ll just take all of this, but you had your boyfriend’s bracelet on.”
“Your boyfriend was in your house whilst you were there, and you’re calling me fake? I got called fake by Kady, when Kady was doing the most.”
“All I’m doing right now is retaliating. I wasn’t going to go out and say anything about anyone,” he continued.
Referencing comments Kady made about Zachariah Noble during Sunday night’s Love Island reunion, he went on to say: “You say to Zach ’15 minutes of fame’, bro you had to come back on another season because you was becoming irrelevant. So don’t come at Zach because you sound like a donut.”
“You’re putting an act on to get your ’15 minutes of fame’. I wasn’t going to start doing these podcasts and going mad at Kady until Kady started going mad about me and everyone else, and that’s when I thought right I’m going to respond.”
A source has since told MailOnline: “The Islanders all know about Kady’s boyfriend and were desperate to call her out on it during the live reunion, so she had no choice but to face the accusation.”
“But Love Island producers warned Zach and Mitch against it, telling them to keep the show as ‘friendly’ as possible. They’re embarrassed that Kady’s comeback was their big reveal this season and are let down that she didn’t admit to having a long-term boyfriend when she was approached to return.”
“But the Islanders can’t be controlled forever, especially as Kady is so opinionated herself… they will be calling her out on the dishonesty.”
Kady shut down speculation she has a secret boyfriend in a statement shared to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday morning.
She wrote: “The narrative that is circulating that I had a boyfriend whilst in the Love Island villa is categorically FALSE. My mum stayed at mine whilst I was in the villa to look after my dog and house.”
“The media have been relentless with this narrative and it now appears others want to jump on the bandwagon too. Speaking opinions is one thing but making such bold statements with confidence is wrong. Not only are they false they can be very damaging.”
Kady also confirmed her split from Casa Amor star Ouzy See, writing: “Sadly late last night Ouzy’s behaviour and actions from the 30th July were bought to my attention.”
“Ouzy is one of the loveliest people I have met and I know he is remorseful but unfortunately actions have consquences and although we are not ‘official’ in our relationship status I am definitely not prepared to start a relationship off on this foot.”
“I wish him nothing but happiness and success in his life. Thank you for the continued support by so many of you, I’d like to focus on the many positives and move on with my life now,” Kady concluded the post.
Ouzy then wrote on his IG Stories: “Just wanted to say what’s happened with me and Kady has NOTHING to do with her or any false rumours that have been flying about, it’s because of my actions that things have ended not Kady’s and I have apologized to her already.”
“She’s an amazing girl with an amazing family and doesn’t deserve any of the negative messages she has received this morning!” the Scottish reality star added.
