This Love Island couple have split up just five weeks after leaving the All-Stars villa.

Arabella Chi and Adam Maxted were previously accused of faking their relationship after not being seen together since leaving South Africa.

Initially, the couple slammed the rumours by continuing to like and comment on each other’s posts.

However, a source close to the couple revealed how the pair tried to make it work but “work got in the way.”

A source close to The Sun: “They genuinely tried to make it work but every time they arranged to meet up, work got in the way.”

“They’re going to stay friends.”

Upon his exit from the villa, Adam told Belfast Live: “We’re just going to take it slow and we’ve planned that I’m going to see her next week on Tuesday and I think that’s the best way is we take it slow and we just continue to get to know each other.”

“We know there’s an attraction there and there’s a vibe there but it’s just about whether or not now we’re both in alignment with one, what it is that we want from a relationship and two, like in life, are we in the same place going forward.”

“But we’ve had a lot of deep chats and it seems like we are but I’m just at a stage where I just don’t want to force anything – if it’s meant to be, it’ll happen and it’s definitely moving into the right direction but we haven’t put a label on anything yet.”

Arabella also sent fans into a frenzy recently when she hinted at a breakup between the pair.

The model shared a picture of her new flat alongside the caption: “new beginnings” which caused fans to think the pair had gone their separate ways.

However, Adam shut down these rumours by commenting three flame emojis, while Arabella responded with three love hearts.
