Love Island: Anna reveals the other islander’s ‘surprising’ attitudes to sex

Love Island producers have put their foot down when it comes to showing the contestants sexual exploits on screen.

Show bosses have reportedly cut back on sharing whether or not villa residents have had sex in order to avoid “ruining” their lives – after a former Miss Great Britain winner had her title taken from her in season 2 for sleeping with someone on the show.

Anna, who departed from the show earlier this week, revealed that the contestants are not having as much sex as some would assume.

“A lot of the islanders this year are very PG” she told The Daily Mail newspaper. “They didn’t want to have sex in the villa and they cared about doing it in a room full of people.”

“I remember the first challenge we had involved kissing, and all the girls were like: ‘No!’ I was like: ‘Guys, this is supposed to be fun. Let’s have fun.’

Anna highlighted that Irish model Maura was the only female contestant to openly express elements of her sexuality.

“They were all so different to how I expected. I was saying it the whole time I was there. They were all — with the exception of Maura — not very sexual.

“Me and Maura were the ones who talked about sex the most. We talked about sex — and how sexually frustrated we were — all the time in the villa.

“But often when it came up, the others seemed too scared to join in.”
Love Island returns to Virgin Media Two on Sunday night at 9pm.
