Laura Anderson reveals she’s lost jobs after travelling to Dubai during the pandemic

Laura Anderson has revealed she’s lost jobs after travelling to Dubai during the pandemic.

The Love Island star faced major backlash online for jetting off to the United Arab Emirates city while the UK remained in a strict lockdown.

The Glasgow native returned home last month, and has opened up about the criticism she received over the trip abroad.

Speaking on Nicki Chapman’s Talking Success podcast, obtained by The Sun Online, the reality star said: “This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to deal with.”

“It was so hard to stick up for myself. I understand the whole pandemic, I am not a silly little girl. It is really hard and it still going on now. It was a really hard decision to go over.”

“I’ve lost followers, I’ve lost jobs. It has made my reconsider my future in this industry.”

“It was frustrating trying to explain why I was there. I was working. I am planning on moving back. I am planning on opening businesses there. But I didn’t want that out there at the time, I didn’t want to share that with the public,” she explained.

Laura previously apologised to “everyone she upset” by travelling to Dubai, admitting she felt guilty “the whole time”.

“The backlash was horrendous and still is. I don’t expect anyone to understand my situation. I apologise to everyone I’ve upset. I truly mean that as it was never my intention,” she said.
