Harry Styles could be set to become the youngest James Bond ever.

The singer, who rose to fame in hugely popular boyband One Direction, made his acting debut in Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk last year – and received rave reviews for his performance.

It’s long been rumoured that critically-acclaimed film maker Christopher would take over directing the Bond films, and his friend and Spectre film editor Lee Smith has said that Harry could be in with a chance of landing the role of 007.

Speaking to The Daily Star, he said, “Harry could do it. If they wanted a younger Bond then why not? He has got it.”

Daniel Craig has signed up to play the role for the next film, but his replacement is expected to debut in 2022 – when Harry would be 28 years old.

“Harry is really good and he can go all the way. He is an exceptional talent and a complete natural on camera,” he continued.

“You would have thought you were dealing with a guy with many years of experience. You would never know that was his first film. I didn’t know who Harry was.

“Of course my daughter explained to me that you don’t get any more famous than Harry Styles. But he was really good and a genuinely charismatic fellow. If he wants to act, I cannot imagine he would not have a great future,” he added.
