Emmerdale‘s Fiona Wade announced her engagement to her former co-star, Simon Cotton.
The couple confirmed their relationship six months ago, after Simon played a minor part of an estate agent in the soap, while Fiona has been part of the programme since 2011.
The actress announced the news on Instagram, as she shared a picture with the actor and wrote: “Two days ago this beautiful man asked me to be his wife. There has never been an easier answer to a question…. Yes!”

Many of Fiona’s co-stars congratulated the couple on their news, as Mark Charnock commented: “Wonderful news!!! Congratulations lovely Fiona. What a way to go into 2019. Xx”.
“So much love for you two,” Michelle Hardwick added.
