Emily Atack has revealed that she was axed from The Inbetweeners reunion just one day before filming began.
Just last month it was announced that the programme would return for a one-off special for its ten-year anniversary, which will air on New Year’s Day.
It looks like one of the show’s key cast-members will be missing from the two-hour special though, as Emily, who played Charlotte Hinchcliffe, was axed last minute.
“I don’t really know what happened here. I was booked to do it, very much looking forward to do it. I think it was kind of the day before I was told I was no longer needed for it,” she said, while on Capital FM.
“It’s okay, it’s alright. These things do happen and I think they just decided to go a different route with it or it was to do with production timings and things,” she continued, brushing it off.
“I wish them all the best and I know it’s going to be great. The fans won’t be disappointed by it.”
Emily played Charlotte in the comedy series from 2008 to 2010.
