Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has revealed plans to distance herself from Love Island.
The 28-year-old won the hit dating show last summer alongside her boyfriend Davide Sanclimenti.
The Turkish actress has since become an ambassador for BPerfect Cosmetics and Oh Polly, and competed on the latest series of Dancing on Ice.
Ekin-Su and Davide also fronted their own ITV show, titled Ekin-Su and Davide: Homecomings.
Although it has only been seven months since she was crowned the winner of Love Island 2022, the 28-year-old has announced her plans to distance herself from the dating show.
Speaking to Women’s Health, Ekin-Su said: “They always say: ‘There’s a new Love Island, there’s this, there’s that, you’ll be forgotten.’”
“But that doesn’t bother me because of who I am. I know what I’m going to do in life. And I know my dream.”
Ekin-Su continued: “Acting in films, playing roles and quirky characters, something that would make you think: ‘Oh, Ekin is not this,’ but then I smash it…”
“That’s when I start looking for an acting agency, putting myself out, you know, try to distance myself as much as I can from the Love Island scene and, yeah, be my own person.”
The 28-year-old and Davide only had seven short months as reigning winners of Love Island, as Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan were crowned the champions of the 2023 winter series last week.
