Montel McKenzie has revealed one of his co-stars tried to quit Love Island.
The 25-year-old entered the villa on day 16 alongside Mal Nicol.
He struck up a romance with Leah Taylor, and the couple were evicted together on day 38.
Speaking on Toby Aromolaran’s Fancy a Chat? podcast, Montel revealed Tyrique Hyde was so angry that Ella Thomas brought Ouzy See back to the main villa from Casa Amor that he threatened to quit the show.
The 25-year-old explained that the boys had to intervene more than once to calm him down.
“Ty’s head was gone. He didn’t know how to think, he was trying to leave,” the Love Island star said.
“We had to talk to him so many times and sit him down to get him to relax.”
“I was saying, ‘Kind of chat to her’, because I spoke to the girls and how it all happened,” Montel continued.
“I was close with Ella, she’s not a d*****d and she does like him a lot so I know she must have a reason.”
“I was just saying give it time and speak to her and see what she says.”
Ty and Ella rekindled their romance soon after Casa Amor, and on Wednesday night, the couple romantically dropped the L-bomb.
