Davide Sanclimenti has dropped a huge hint he’s returning to the Love Island villa, just days after splitting from Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu.
Eleven months after winning the ITV2 dating show, the Italian reality star announced they had parted ways in a statement shared via Instagram on Thursday evening.
He wrote: “Ekin-Su and I are no longer together. I am grateful for the memories and opportunities we shared together and I wish her nothing but the best.”

“I would like for everybody to respect this decision during this difficult time. I will continue to support Ekin in anyway possible,” Davide added.
Just hours before he announced their split on social media, Davide posted a photo of himself getting out of a pool on Instagram, alongside the caption: “Guess who’s coming back 😎🏝️.”
The 28-year-old tagged the location as Ibiza, which is the island next to Mallorca – where Love Island is filmed.
Fans were quick to comment on Davide’s post, with one writing: “Just broke up with ekin now going back into love island no doubt. All staged.”
Another commented: “I really expected more class from you. Sad, really sad.”
Davide confirmed his split from Ekin just days after they attended the premiere of the new Indiana Jones movie in London, where they posed for snaps together on the red carpet.
The Italian hunk, 28, and the Turkish actress, also 28, shot to fame when they appeared on the 2022 series of Love Island.
The pair were a fan-favourite couple, and went on to win the series – beating runners up Gemma Owen and Luca Bush.
Shortly after leaving the villa, the fan-favourite contestants landed their own two-part show, Ekin-Su & Davide: Homecomings, which saw them travel to their native Turkey and Italy to meet each other’s families and experience each other’s cultures.
And despite constant split speculation, the couple even moved in together, and appeared to be stronger than ever.
However, in a recent interview, Davide confessed: “Me and Ekin-Su had our struggles due to our public positions and we still have them sometimes.”
“If there’s something that I would change or would have done differently [with Ekin-Su in the villa] maybe I would have taken things a bit more slowly.”
Davide then sweetly added: “The best thing about dating Ekin Su is that we understand each other – not just because we are literally the same person. She is my copy-paste.”
“Also because we come from the same experience and the same background. She met my family and fortunately all my parents love her and Ekin Su’s family love me.”
“It’s been a good match also from our families’ point of view,” he said at the time.
