Danielle Lloyd shows her support for Katie Price following her arrest

Danielle Lloyd has shown her support for her friend Katie Price following her arrest.

The former glamour model pleaded guilty to drink-driving, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance after she crashed her car last Tuesday.

The mother-of-five has since checked herself into rehab, and has promised her kids she will get better.

Katie was arrested last week

Speaking to New Magazine, Danielle said she hopes Katie can “deal with the s*** that has gone on in her life” and “become happy within herself.”

The 43-year-old said: “She’s helped me through things like break-ups. The last message I sent to her was to let her know that I’m always here if she wants to talk – and that’s all you can do as a friend.”

“When I saw this accident had happened, it was almost like I could see it coming,” Danielle revealed. “I’ve been there, I’ve done that and I’ve got the T-shirt.”

“But you can’t properly help a person until they realise themselves they need help. All we can do is let Katie know that we’re here for her.”

It comes after Katie’s mother Amy issued a statement expressing her concerns for her daughter.

She wrote on Instagram: “I am setting out my concerns as Kate’s mother because I don’t know how else to address the issues that have arisen on social media and in the press.”

“I know better than most that Kate has made a career in which she has engaged with and benefitted from the press so I am not seeking to portray them as the bad guys and Kate as a victim.”

“My daughter behaved appallingly when she got behind the wheel or a car intoxicated. She could have killed herself or someone else’s child. I don’t hide from that and neither does Kate. But Kate is not well.”

“We asked as a family to have some space and privacy. Since our plea as a family there have been over 35 articles from various sources and interviews from ex-partners/husband all with an opinion,” she continued.

“Many of these articles are complete fabrication (claims Kate has not been in touch with Harvey or is moving in with me for example).”

“If, as is my fear, we lose Kate then the narrative will change and people/media may remember all the good she did for causes in her early days and not be judged on her failures.”

“How many more people do we need to lose in this world from mental abuse? It was not long ago I kept reading #bekind that seems to be a distant memory or media just think they can push the boundaries without responsibility.”

“My daughter is mentally unwell, we have no idea what the future holds but what we do know is Kate’s children will read and see every single article written.”

“The abuse I am seeing on social media says so much for the society we live in – it has become a sad place.”

“Please allow us time, allow my daughter space not because she deserves this but because I am asking as a very sick and poorly mother who is scared she will lose her daughter,” Amy added.
