Vernon Kay ‘signs £250k deal’ to appear on major UK reality show

The TV presenter has finally agreed to appear on the show

Vernon Kay has reportedly signed a £250k deal to appear on the upcoming series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

The TV presenter has been approached by ITV bosses several times in the past, and now sources have claimed Vernon has finally agreed to sign on the dotted line.

An insider told The Mirror: “Everyone’s so pleased to have Vernon on board, he’s a lovely guy, full of down-to-earth northern charm and perfect for the show.”

Vernon is best known for presenting Family Fortunes, but his personal life hit headlines back in 2010 when he was accused of sexting Page 3 model Rhian Sugden.

After the scandal erupted, the father-of-two was forced to publicly apologise to his wife Tess Daly, and their daughters Phoebe and Amber.

Just last month, Rhian Sugden broke down in tears as she addressed the sexting scandal during a TV documentary.

The model said she wishes she “never met” Vernon, and blamed him for ruining her career.

She said: “He just got away with it. It ruined everything for me. I felt like I was going up and up with my career and then that came along. I wish I’d never met him.”

“He got to give an apology on the radio and just got to carry on, with Family Fortunes, ironically. It still makes me feel sick.”

On the latest episode of Goss Chats, Ali Ryan chats to Ronan Keating about his star-studded upcoming music special, and working with Robbie Williams on a special new song dedicated to Stephen Gately.

#GossChats is sponsored by top aesthetic clinic Haus of JeJuve, which is now back open for bookings.
