Roisin Hogan 'gutted' as she's fired from the Apprentice – but knows it was right time

Irish Apprentice hopeful Roisin Hogan has been left “gutted” after just failing to make the show’s final.

But the Dubliner said she feels it was the right time for Lord Sugar to tell her she was fired after her business plan came under attack.

She said: “I’m totally gutted, devastated but so thrilled with the whole experience and I think it was the right time to go. Ultimately, I do.”

The 32-year-old hoped to set up a range of healthy, no-carb ready meals with Lord Sugar’s £250,000 cash injection – but it would run out of money after three months.

She had been tipped to win by last year’s Northern Irish winner, Leah Totton.

And Roisin said that she now knows it was a mistake to go so big with her plans, but had hoped she would spark Lord Sugar’s imagination and will now continue.

She said: “I think I wanted to present Lord Sugar with a really ambitious plan that he would see great returns from, but I was stretching it too much.”

She added: “I really take on board what Lord Sugar and his advisors say. What I’m now going to do is start small – walk before I can run.

“I’ve now learnt it doesn’t have to big immediately. But I am carrying on with this. I left my job for this product, I really believe in this product, so I am absolutely going to continue.”

Speaking on The Apprentice: You’re Fired, Roisin added that she has “actually learnt so much about myself that I did not know” during her 10 weeks on the show.
