Regé-Jean Page has addressed romance rumours with his Bridgerton co-star Phoebe Dynevor.
The actors star as love interests Simon, Duke of Hastings and Daphne Bridgerton in the hit Netflix series, and act out many steamy sex scenes together.
The stars appeared on Access Hollywood for a joint interview over the weekend, where they were asked if their relationship was also romantic off-camera.
Regé-Jean, 31, laughed off the speculation, explaining: “I think that everything you need to know is on camera.”
“All the sparks that flew came off the beautiful scripts we were handed. So I think that the sparky words, scripts and material are more than enough,” he added.
When interviewer Kit Hoover joked that the co-stars were taking part in the interview from the same room despite appearing on separate screens, the heartthrob said: “We’re playing footsie under here.”
The news comes after Phoebe opened up about filming the intimate scenes in the period drama, admitting she found the experience “safe and fun”.
The 25-year-old revealed an intimacy coordinator helped to choreograph the scenes, telling Grazia UK: “My first-ever scene was in episode six, where Simon (played by Regé-Jean) is going down on Daphne.
“And it was so great, because it felt safe and fun. You choreograph it like a stunt, or a dance.”
The eight-part series joined Netflix on Christmas Day, and has been described as Gossip Girl meets Downton Abbey.
Bridgerton is streaming on Netflix now.
