Popular celebrity couple to host UK version of Love Is Blind for Netflix

Matt and Emma Willis are set to host the UK version of Love Is Blind for Netflix.

The US version of the show, which sees singletons try to find a match without meeting face to face, has been a huge hit since the first season premiered back in 2020.

According to The Sun, the Willis’ were up against other famous couples for the hosting gig – including Marvin and Rochelle Humes.

However, the pair won over producers following their appearance in the BBC documentary Matt Willis: Fighting Addiction and ITV’s Cooking With The Stars.

A source revealed: “Emma and Matt caught the attention of show bosses following their documentary about Matt’s addiction battle – this was later boosted by Cooking With The Stars.

“They were perfect for Love Is Blind UK, but still had competition from famous couples, including Marvin and Rochelle Humes.”

Love Is Blind UK, which will air on Netflix in 2024, will follow a group of singletons who want to be loved for who they are, rather than what they look like.

The contestants will talk to a host of potential love interests in pods, with the hope of building a meaningful connection based solely on the person they are on the inside.

Once cupid’s work is done, they will propose to their chosen partner and then lay their eyes on their fiancé for the first time.

Engaged and back in the real world, as the couples plan their wedding day, they will attempt to add a physical connection to their emotional bond.

When their much-awaited wedding day arrives, will they discover that love is indeed blind? Or will the realities of everyday life and external factors have sabotaged them?

Applications for Love Is Blind UK opened back in February, with the casting process now closed.
