With speculation mounting that Nidge may actually be alive after last night’s shooting, Love/Hate star Laurence Kinlan has said a decision will be made about the new season soon.
The actor who plays Elmo in the award winning show said the cast will be told in a few weeks if another season will go ahead.
“For those asking about a sixth series. They will decide in the coming weeks whether or not to do a sixth.
“No decisions have been made yet,” he added.

It comes after Lynn Rafferty, who plays Nadine, said the actors had no idea if they would be returning for another series.
This morning RTE drama commissioner Jane Gogan said she hoped a sixth season would be happening.
