Love Island fans were equal amounts heartbroken for and proud of Georgia after Josh brutally dumped her in Monday’s episode of Love Island shock recouple.
The loyal islander was left devastated when Josh returned to the villa with a new girl called Kaz.
A disappointed Georgia said, “I was loyal to you, ” and Josh replied, “I went with my gut.”
Georgia simply pursed her lips and turned away from him without shedding a tear – a response that has seen fans praise her as an example to women everywhere when faced with infidelity.
Wes was also left in shock after he dumped his long-time partner Laura for Megan, only to return to the villa and see that she had moved on with Alex.
Megan was then seen telling Josh that she understood why he went with his gut.
“I get it, go with your gut,” she said and added that Kaz was “the female equivalent” of him, despite being friends with Georgia.
Elsewhere in the villa, Laura re-coupled with new boy Jack and Adam coupled up with new girl Darylle.
Dr Alex coupled up with new girl Grace, while Sam coupled up with Jack’s ex Ellie.
Samira chose Frankie as her partner.
Ellie and Charlie coupled up and fan favourites, Jack and Dani reunited.
Viewers of the show took to Twitter to praise Georgia’s response to the drama.
Doireann Garrihy called her a “queen” as she expressed her admiration for the 20-year-old on Twitter.
She said, “If you could bottle that moment where Georgia composed herself and refused to cry after having her heart shattered, no woman would ever be f****d over again.”
Right I’ve caught up and have one thing to say: if you could bottle that moment where Georgia composed herself and refused to cry after having her heart shattered, no woman would ever be fucked over again. #Queen ???? #LoveIsland

Hate it that we live in a society where most boys fuck over girls like Georgia and tend to go for girls like Megan. Most boys judgements are based on initial looks and sexual attraction other than getting to know a girl for their personality first #lovelsland

Still thinking about that love island episode and seeing Georgia physically take that breath and deal with the situation maturely and like a badass. How is she only 20, can she win on her own?? Thanks #loveisland

Shonagh tweeted, “Still thinking about that love island episode and seeing Georgia physically take that breath and deal with the situation maturely and like a badass.”
She went on to ask, “How is she only 20, can she win on her own??”
