Fred Sirieix came under fire during tonight’s episode I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here, before he was voted off the show.
Tensions ran high in camp as the First Dates star volunteered himself to do another trial when other campmates wanted to do it – particularly Sam Thompson.
After the celebrities agreed for Marvin to be one of the people to take on the trial, Fred jumped up and said: “I’ll go with Marvin, just because why not. I’m ready to go.”
Sam then said: “I’m happy to go as well. Happy to do it and you know, want to bring some stars back for the team.
“I think Marv should definitely be going because you haven’t done one yet and I know you are superman. But Fred, if you want to do it…”
Fred then interjected: “Don’t worry, I’m going. You can carry on playing with your toys, we’ll do the men’s stuff. I’m going with Marvin, I’ve already decided.”
In the Bush Telegraph, Sam later explained: “I hope he doesn’t think that I just want to stay in camp. I really, really want to help. I also don’t want to argue about it. I don’t have a backbone. I’m not going to sit there and say, ‘No I want to do it.’”
Fred clearly rubbed some people up the wrong way, as Nick later pointed out: “He likes putting himself forward…”
Danielle said: “He’s very forceful once he’s decided.”
Nick added: “I’ve got no problem with Fred going at all, but I don’t think he even took it to the vote, he was going no matter what.”
It appears viewers agreed with the reaction to Fred in camp, as they took to X to call him out for the way he shut down Sam.
