Curtis and Maura gain popularity after spending their first night together in the Love Island villa

Will they give Tommy and Molly-Mae a run for their money?

From ITV Studios

Curtis Pritchard and Maura Higgins have just got together in the Love Island villa, and the public are already backing them to win.

Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague remain odds-on favourites to take the title, but their popularity has taken a huge hit as Curtis and Maura spent their first night together in the villa during Tuesday night’s episode.

While Curtis is officially coupled up with Francesca Allen, the professional dancer has decided he wants to pursue things with Irish ring girl Maura – who has been luckless so far in the villa when it comes to love.

OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton commented: “We all thought this was all over, Tommy & Molly have been unbackable in recent weeks, their odds have been that short – but that is because they have had such little competition.”

“Ovie has proven hugely popular, but he has no love connection at the moment – so can’t win, but now suddenly we look to have a competition on our hands.”

“Curtis has decided to hook up with Maura, and officially not even a couple yet, the public are backing them and their odds have been slashed into 4/1 – which is a remarkable turnaround for the pair, who have been close to exits in the last few weeks.”
