Brendan O'Connor to be replaced on RTE's Saturday Night Show?

Brendan O’Connor will definitely be back on our screens tonight – after a clot in his arm exploded.

The Saturday Night Show host has recovered after the serious incident which left him covered in blood. Brendan, 45, was rushed to Dublin’s St Vincent’s hospital on Thursday night after the blood clot.

The Saturday Night Show producer Larry Masterson said Brendan was in an awful way and he wants another host to replace him.

“I saw Brendan’s clothes the following day and they looked like they had been dipped in a bucket of blood,” he told the Sun.

“Brendan wants to do his show but might have to face the fact that he’s too weak after losing so much blood. I am actively seeking someone to step in.”

In recent weeks it has been speculated that Ray D’Arcy is being lined up to take over the show. But Brendan denied the star would be getting his hosting gig.
