Back with a bang: Charlie Murphy delighted her character is getting steamy on Love/Hate

Love/Hate star Charlie Murphy has revealed her excitement at her character making a major impact with sizzling scenes.

The TV star – who plays Nidge’s niece Siobhan – is already causing trouble after sleeping with Pauley as boyfriend Tommy lies comatose in hospital.

And next Sunday sees Nidge – played by Tom Vaughan-Lawlor – shocked after discovering the pair have been hooking up.

Already the Wexford actress, 26, has filmed a number of steamy sex scenes with Johnny Ward, 27, for upcoming episodes.

She said: “There’s a beautiful plot worked out for Siobhan this season, it’s such a treat.

“I don’t think the novelty will ever wear off knowing you’re being entrusted with something pretty special.

“You want to be good because you don’t want to let Stuart down and you don’t want to let [Director David Caffrey] down.”

And Charlie also revealed that the Love/Hate crew couldn’t be any nicer to work with.

“When Killian and I were filming 71, Ado, our second AD on Love/Hate was texting us to see how we were doing on that set. It’s a good crew,” she told the RTE Guide.

But Charlie admitted that she doesn’t get recognised that often for her role in Love/Hate unlike other members of the cast.

“I don’t get much of it. Ive barely been in London, having spent most of the year filming the Village in the Peak district.

“In fact it’s been mad being back for the start of season five because this time last year I was in South Africa and missed all that buzz.

“I would be getting all the texts from my sisters. It’s a novelty to be in Dublin when the new season of Love/Hate is on.”
