Aisling O'Loughlin to quit Xpose in New Year – to co-host TV3's version of The One Show

Xpose looks set to lose Aisling O’Loughlin in the New Year – who is reported to be quitting the show.

But the star will be staying with TV3, to co-host the channel’s new lifestyle series with Sybil Mulcahy.

Sources have claimed that Aisling, 35, is ready for a new challenge as well as more time to spend with her two young children.

It comes as TV3 are working on getting Life ready to go on air in the New Year, when they lose Coronation Street and Emmerdale to UTV Ireland.

It’s understood the evening show will be extremely similar to the BBC’s The One Show.

However the news, first reported by the Mail on Sunday, will be a blow for Xpose who aren’t replacing Karen Koster while she is on maternity leave.

Previously, Sharon Corr was in talks with the station over making her TV return and hosting the series, but this seems to have fallen through.

Last month, Aisling told how she is celebrating this Christmas with partner Nick McInnes after a horror year that saw him battle cancer.

She said: “Nick is here to celebrate and that could have been very different, so we are celebrating life itself this year and counting our blessings – it’s a very special Christmas for us.”
