New mum Jess Redden swears by this breakthrough treatment post childbirth

It’s no secret that childbirth affects our pelvic floor muscles, which can lead to a number of uncomfortable symptoms for new mothers out there.

Caring for a newborn baby is hard enough without having to deal with incontinence, but thankfully there’s now a treatment that can help you reclaim your body postpartum.

Emsella, available at Laser + Skin Clinics, is a breakthrough pelvic floor treatment that greatly improves the quality of life for those with urinary incontinence.

This treatment offers a non-invasive solution for incontinence, and each session takes just 30 minutes out of your busy day.

Well-known influencer and new mum Jess Redden swears by the Emsella treatment, with one session equating to approximately 11,000 pelvic floor exercises.

The pharmacist suffered from stress incontinence after welcoming her first child, a son named Bobby, with her rugby star husband Rob Kearney last August.

Jess told Goss.ie: “I started my Emsella treatment 6 months postpartum, after four sessions my stress incontinence has definitely improved and I feel more confident exercising again.”

“Irma has been my therapist and she is just so lovely I enjoy going to these quick 30 minute sessions to catch up and chat with her.

“The Laser + Skin Clinic is a state-of-the-art practice. I love all their skincare ranges that they stock too! Will definitely be recommending the Emsella to my friends who have the same issues as me.

“I think it’s so important to be educated on the importance of our pelvic floor health, especially post childbirth,” Jess added.

If you suffer from stress incontinence; urine leakage when laughing, coughing, sneezing, or exercising; or the inability to control your bladder when feeling a sudden, intense urge to pee – then Emsella is for you.

And it’s worth noting that this treatment isn’t just for new mums, as people who suffer from incontinence due to ageing and/or menopause have benefitted from it too.

Emsella is also an option for men where prostate cancer, a vasectomy, or stress have had a negative impact on their intimate health, resulting in urinary incontinence.

So how does the treatment work exactly? Well, Emsella uses HIFEM energy to cause deep and intense pelvic-floor muscle contractions, restoring neuromuscular control.

A single session causes thousands of supramaximal pelvic-floor muscle contractions, which are extremely important in muscle re-education, and improvement of intimate wellbeing.

As we mentioned before, each session takes just 30 minutes, and requires you to simply sit in the Emsella Chair while remaining fully clothed.

When the treatment starts you will feel slight tingling and vibrations in your pelvic floor muscles, that will then turn into full contractions.

This will be completely comfortable and tolerable, and theres no downtime after the treatment, meaning you can go about your day as normal afterwards.

During your consultation for Emsella at Laser + Skin Clinics, you will receive a truly bespoke plan, which will act as your blueprint on your pelvic floor wellness journey.

To ensure that your plan fits within your budget, the clinic has partnered with Humm Finance, who can facilitate a credit plan for all treatments – allowing you to get the confidence you deserve at a rate you can afford.

Think this treatment is for you? Book in for a consultation at Laser + Skin Clinics online here, with locations in Dublin 2, Athlone, Mullingar, and Malahide.

In terms of pricing, one session will cost you €150, while a bundle of six sessions is priced at €499.
