Yvonne Keating reveals she plans to open her own restaurant

Yvonne Keating has revealed she plans to open her own restaurant in Dublin.

The Celebrity MasterChef star hopes to use her experience on the RTE show to boost the bistro – but has been warned against it.

“I have visions to start my own business, I did a course in business years ago… I have loads of things going round in my head,” she said.

“I would absolutely love to run my own restaurant, but anybody who is in the business says to me, ‘Absolutely don’t think about it.’

“But I’ve always harbored that little ambition to do that. I sat in the Seabank restaurant in Malahide yesterday, and the sun was shining.

“It was just a little bit of heaven out there by the coast, it’s a small little restaurant – one of my faves – and I thought I would just love this.”

But Yvonne insisted she doesn’t regret waiting until now, after turning 40, to start with her big plans.

“I have no regrets. I see the opportunity in every day now, and it’s more to do with because my kids are a bit older and have embraced me going back out to work,” she told Radio 1.

“I just think it’s timing, I don’t look back and regret not working. But now that I’m in it, I maybe doubted that I could have juggled motherhood and working.

“I thought that I really needed to stay at home. Now that I am doing it, I do look back and think that I could have done that years ago.”
