Tributes have poured in on social media for Frank Twomey, who has sadly passed away.
The Cork native was best known for presenting the iconic Irish children’s show Bosco in the 1980s.
The actor also appeared on RTÉ comedy shows like Bull Island and Nighthawks.
In recent years, the TV personality appeared on the RTÉ Player advice show Agony OAPs alongside Pat Spillane and Mary O’Rourke.
Since the news of his death broke, a host of famous faces have paid tribute to Frank on social media.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Tánaiste Micheál Martin wrote: “Very sorry to hear of the passing of Frank Twomey.
“A proud Cork man, Frank brought joy to many across generations with his work on Bosco, Bull Island, Nighthawk & on stage.
“Renowned for his sharp wit & humour, he was a versatile & brilliant performer.”
