Snapchat star set for The Ray D’Arcy Show this weekend

We can't wait for this!

Irish Snapchat star Paddy Smyth will appear on The Ray D’Arcy Show this weekend, to talk about dating with a disability.

Born with Cerebral Palsy in his legs, Paddy documents his experiences online to show that having a disability should never be a barrier to living a full and fun-filled life.

Paddy will be telling Ray about how he became an accidental activist after several bad experiences on the dating scene, and how the search for Mr. Right led him to appear on First Dates Ireland earlier this year.

Speaking to Goss.ie ahead of his appearance on the show, Paddy said, “I’m feeling excited and nervous. I can’t believe I’ve been asked to go on. I’m in shock.”

Actor and presenter, Simon Delaney, will also be on the show – and he’ll be cooking up a storm following his success on Celebrity MasterChef.

As well as sharing recipes from his book ‘Simply Simon’s The Diner Cookbook’, he will chat about his career and plans for the future.

Fresh from their gold medal win at the World Rowing Championships in Florida, Skibbereen rowers Mark O’Donovan and Shane O’Driscoll will also be on the show for their first TV interview after their biggest achievement yet.

Broadcaster and author Kathleen Watkins will also join Ray on the couch, and she’ll chat about the success of her book ‘Pigin’ and how she was inspired by her grandchildren’s imagination to create her fictional character.

Kathleen will also look back on her career as RTÉ’s first continuity announcer and reveal how her husband Gay Byrne has been keeping over the past year.

All this and much more on The Ray D’Arcy Show this Saturday at 9:35pm on RTÉ One.
