Caitriona Perry has announced that she’s expecting her first child.
The broadcaster confirmed the news, after Six One viewers started questioning whether she is pregnant.
Taking to Twitter, the RTÉ News anchor said, “To all the eagle-eyed @rtenews #SixOne viewers who have been in touch…you are correct!
“I am expecting some ‘news’ of my own later this year.”

Caitriona’s colleagues at RTÉ were quick to congratulate her, including Kathryn Thomas, Miriam O’Callaghan, and her co-anchor Keelin Shanley.
Keelin wrote, “We’re all delighted Caitriona – v exciting.”
Caitriona has been co-presenting the Six One news alongside Keelin since January 2018, after she returned from her post as the RTÉ News Washington correspondent in 2017.
