Rosanna Davison ‘not surprised’ by Donald Trump’s Miss Universe comments

Rosanna Davison has admitted that she thinks Donald Trump’s comments on a former Miss Universe are “crazy.”

The entrepreneur slammed the 1996 Miss Universe winner Alicia Machado for gaining weight and labelled her “Miss Piggy.”

“It’s crazy, but does it surprise anybody?” she said about his remarks.

The 32-year-old revealed it’s unfortunate that women are made feel insecure, especially by comments made by people like Donald.

“It’s just a shame. I think Trump says things for effect, it’s a shame that it was said,” she told the Herald.

“It’s unfortunate to hear about cases where a woman is made to feel insecure about her body.”

Rosanna won her Miss World title in 2003, and revealed that she was never made feel uncomfortable while competing.

“There was nothing inappropriate or anything that made me feel uncomfortable at Miss World in any way – we were all treated like princesses.

“Miss World is older and involves more countries. It’s more focused on the charity side. I spent most of my year working with charities.

“They’re looking for someone who can go out in front of the media or go to hospitals and orphanages and things like that,” she added.
